Sort a List of Numbers Online — Free
Runs 100% in your browser — your files never leave your device.
Spreadsheet-less sorting: paste a jumble of numbers and get them ordered properly — numerically, not the 1, 10, 100, 2 way text sorting gives you. Pick smallest-first or largest-first and copy the ordered list. Runs entirely in your browser.

About this tool
Numeric sorting done right
The tool sorts your list as actual numbers — 2, 10, 100 in true numeric order, not the text order that puts 10 before 2. Ascending or descending, duplicates preserved, non-numeric lines passed over rather than scrambled into the results.
Why numeric mode matters
Text sorting compares character by character, so every number starting with 1 lands before everything starting with 2. Any list of measurements, prices, scores, or IDs needs numeric comparison — the wrong mode silently corrupts the order rather than failing loudly.
A sorted list is a readable list
Sorting before analysis exposes outliers at both ends instantly, makes duplicates adjacent for deduplication, and gives the min-max tool a visual confirmation: the first and last lines are the extremes.
Frequently asked questions
Does sorting change my values?
No — numbers move as complete units, byte-identical. Only their order changes.
How does it handle negative numbers?
Correctly — numeric comparison covers negatives, so -100 sorts before -5 before 0. Text sorting would have scattered them.
Can I sort decimals together with integers?
Yes — numeric comparison treats 2.5 and 3 as the same kind of value. Mixed decimal and integer lists sort on true value.
