The short version
Nobody reads privacy policies, so here is the whole thing in a few lines. The full version is below.
- Most AnkhKit tools run entirely in your browser. Your files never leave your device, and we never see them.
- A few tools need our servers. Those files travel over HTTPS and are deleted the moment you click delete — or automatically within one hour.
- AI tools send your text to an external AI provider (Alibaba Cloud, Google, or OpenAI). We do not store your prompts or the results.
- We do not sell your data, we run no ads, and we use no third-party trackers or cookies.
- Accounts (needed only for AI tools) store your email address. Ask us, and we delete your account and its records within 30 days.
- The site is hosted in the European Union and operated by Kemo Solutions LLC (Florida, USA).
Who we are
AnkhKit is built and operated by Kemo Solutions LLC, a Florida company. Kemo Solutions LLC is the data controller for this site: it decides how the personal data described in this policy is used. If you have a privacy question or request, you reach us at support@ankhkit.com.
Browser-only tools
Tools labeled "Runs 100% in your browser" perform every calculation on your device using JavaScript and WebAssembly. No file content is transmitted to our servers at any point.
What it means: with these tools, your privacy does not depend on our promises — there is physically nothing sent to us to protect.
Server-processed tools
Tools labeled "Processed on our servers" upload your file to our infrastructure over HTTPS. Conversions run in open-source software (for example, LibreOffice for document conversions) inside our own isolated containers — your file is never forwarded to a third-party API or cloud service as part of processing. Download access ends one hour after upload. The input and result are scheduled for deletion at that deadline; a recurring sweeper retries cleanup after a worker or queue interruption, and also removes orphaned files. Download responses are private and non-cacheable so an intermediary cannot retain an expired result.
What it means: server processing exists because browsers cannot do the job. Your file is processed, handed back to you, and destroyed — never used for anything else.
AI tools
AI tools (marked on their page) require a free account and send the text you submit — plus instructions derived from it — to an external AI provider to generate the result. Depending on cost and availability, the request is routed to one of these providers: Alibaba Cloud, Google, or OpenAI. Each provider processes the request on our instructions under its own data-processing terms; we do not store your prompts or the generated output. We do keep minimal operational records of each request: which tool was used, token counts, a timestamp, and your account identifier — so you have a daily allowance and we can monitor costs. AI tools never use your content for model training. Legal-document templates produced by AI tools are reference material, not legal advice.
What it means: with AI tools, your text necessarily leaves our servers. It goes to a named major provider, comes back as your result, and neither side keeps the conversation.
What we deliberately don't do
- We don't sell, rent, or trade your data — to anyone, ever.
- We don't run advertising, and we don't build advertising profiles.
- We don't use your files, prompts, or results to train any AI model — ours or anyone else's.
- We don't share file contents with third parties as part of processing.
- We don't require an account for anything except AI tools.

Temporary job metadata
To operate server jobs and prevent abuse, we temporarily record the job type, options, byte size, status, timestamps, and a salted one-way hash of the network address. We do not store the raw address. Filenames and storage locations are cleared when the file expires; the remaining job record is scheduled for deletion 24 hours after expiry, with failed cleanup attempts retried. Application logs exclude file contents, filenames, signed links, raw addresses, and storage paths.
Where your data lives
AnkhKit's servers are hosted in the European Union. The site is delivered through Cloudflare's global network, which necessarily sees network metadata (such as addresses and request headers) for traffic routed through it.
When you use an AI tool, the text you submit is processed by the routed provider — Alibaba Cloud, Google, or OpenAI — whose infrastructure operates in the United States and other regions. Those transfers happen under each provider's data-processing terms with us, which include the standard contractual safeguards required for transfers out of the EEA and UK. If you are outside the EU, be aware that your use of the site involves processing in both the EU and, for AI tools, the United States.
Cookies and tracking
AnkhKit does not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or cross-site identifiers of any kind. Analytics are cookie-free and self-hosted (Umami): they count visits and tool-usage events in aggregate — for example, "a conversion completed" — without file contents and without persistent identifiers. Because we run no third-party ad trackers, there is nothing to opt out of.
If you sign in to use AI tools, essential session cookies keep you logged in. These are functional, not tracking: they belong to our own authentication service and are not shared with advertisers or analytics.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to: access your data, correct it, delete it, export it, restrict or object to processing, or withdraw consent. Because we collect so little, most requests are simple: for anonymous tool use we hold nothing that identifies you, and server files expire within an hour on their own.
To exercise a right, email support@ankhkit.com — ideally from your account's email address so we can verify you. We respond within 30 days, and we never treat you worse for asking. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your profile and the usage records tied to it within 30 days; any files you uploaded have already expired by then. If you are in the EEA or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children
AnkhKit is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it. Where your local law sets a higher minimum age for digital consent, you must meet that age to use AI tools.
Security
All traffic runs over HTTPS. Server-processed files live in isolated containers, downloads require cryptographic signatures, and raw network addresses are replaced with salted one-way hashes everywhere we would otherwise be tempted to store them. Application logs exclude file contents, filenames, and signed links by design. Our strongest security control is minimal retention: most data is destroyed within an hour, so there is very little to breach.
No system is perfectly secure. If something ever goes wrong, we will tell affected users without unnecessary delay.
Changes to this policy
We post the current version of this policy on this page and update the date at the top. If a change is material — for example, a new category of data collection or a new third-party processor — we will also note it prominently on the homepage before it takes effect.
