Privacy Policy

The short version

Most AnkhKit tools run entirely in your browser. When a tool works this way, your files and text never leave your device — we never see them, because they are never sent anywhere.

A few tools (marked on their page) require server processing because browsers cannot do the job. For those, files are uploaded over HTTPS, processed, made available for download, and automatically deleted within 1 hour. Server-processed files are never used for anything else — not for training, not for analysis, not for anything.

Browser-only tools

Tools labeled "Runs 100% in your browser" perform every calculation on your device using JavaScript and WebAssembly. No file content is transmitted to our servers at any point.

Server-processed tools

Tools labeled "Processed on our servers" upload your file to our infrastructure. We keep uploads only as long as needed to deliver your result: a cleanup job runs continuously and removes files at most one hour after they were uploaded. Download links are signed and expire with the file.

Analytics

We use privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics (Plausible) to count visits and understand which tools are useful. Aggregated tool-usage events (for example, "a conversion completed") are recorded without file contents and without persistent cross-site identifiers.

Accounts

An account is only required for AI-powered tools. If you sign in, we store the minimum profile information provided by the sign-in service (such as an email address) to operate your account.
