Remove Duplicate Lines From Text — Free Online Tool
Runs 100% in your browser — your files never leave your device.
Merged lists, copied logs, and pasted spreadsheets often carry duplicates you have to weed out by hand. Paste your lines here and get back a clean list with duplicates removed — the first occurrence of each line is kept and the original order is preserved. Toggle case-insensitive matching when "Apple" and "apple" are the same item to you.

About this tool
How deduplication works
The tool reads your lines, keeps the first occurrence of each unique line, and drops every repeat after it — preserving the original order. Comparison is exact by default, so "Apple" and "apple" count as different until you enable case-insensitive matching.
When lists grow duplicates
Merged exports, concatenated logs, copy-pasted email lists, and scraped data all accumulate duplicates. Deduplication turns them into clean unique lists — email lists before import, keyword lists before analysis, inventory lines before reconciliation.
Preparing a messy list
Duplicates often hide behind whitespace. Run remove extra whitespaces or trim trailing spaces first so near-identical lines match exactly, then deduplicate — and sort the list afterward if you want repeats clustered visibly before removal.
Frequently asked questions
Does the tool keep the first or the last duplicate?
The first — everything after the initial occurrence disappears, so your list keeps its original ordering.
What does case-insensitive matching change?
With it enabled, "Apple" and "apple" count as duplicates and only the first casing survives. Without it, every casing variation is treated as unique.
Is my list uploaded anywhere?
No — deduplication runs entirely in your browser. Lists of emails or customers never leave your device.
