Timezone Converter — Free

Runs 100% in your browser — your files never leave your device.

Meetings, product launches, and flights all cross time zones, and the offsets between two cities are not even constant — daylight saving starts on different dates around the world. Pick two zones, set a date and time in one, and the same exact moment appears in both, with a world-clock strip for context.

How it works

  1. 1

    Choose two zones

Any city or region in the browser's world time-zone database.

  2. 2

    Set a date and time

Typed in the first zone — including the date, because that changes the answer.

  3. 3

    Read the same moment twice

Both clocks, their offsets, and whether the target lands on the next day.

About this tool

Why the gap between two cities keeps changing

New York and London sit five hours apart for only part of the year — the United States and Europe switch clocks on different dates, leaving a few weeks where the gap is four. A static offset table gets this wrong; this tool asks the same up-to-date time-zone database your operating system clock uses, so the daylight-saving rules are already baked in.

One moment, two calendars

Half of all conversions cross midnight somewhere: 9:00 on Tuesday in Seattle is Thursday morning in Sydney. The next-day tag and full weekday on both cards answer the question people actually ask — not just the clock time but the date it lands on. Need the span of time instead of the moment? The time converter handles durations.

Frequently asked questions

What time is 9 AM New York in London?

Usually 2 PM — but 1 PM during the weeks when the two regions disagree about daylight saving. Enter the actual date and this page gives the honest answer for that specific day.

Does it handle the International Date Line?

Yes. The world-clock strip shows each city's weekday alongside its time, so a Tuesday afternoon in Tokyo reads as Monday morning in Honolulu — date line crossings included.

Do I need internet for this to work?

Once the page is open, everything computes on your device from the browser's built-in time-zone database — no data is sent anywhere. Like every other tool here, nothing you plan is stored.

Which time zones are available?

Every zone the browser ships — hundreds of cities and regions by their IANA names, from Auckland to American Samoa — sorted by city. Rarely-used zones appear too — typing a city's first letters jumps the picker to it.
