Instagram Line Break Tool Online — Free

Runs 100% in your browser — your files never leave your device.

Write a caption with nice paragraph breaks, paste it into Instagram, and the blank lines vanish into a wall of text. This tool replaces every blank line with an invisible character Instagram keeps, so the spacing survives the paste. Type or paste your caption, copy the result, done.

How it works

  1. 1

    Paste your caption

Keep your blank lines exactly where you want them.

  2. 2

    Copy the fixed version

Blank lines become an invisible character Instagram preserves.

  3. 3

    Paste into Instagram

Your paragraphs land exactly as you wrote them.

About this tool

The Instagram line-break problem

Instagram strips line breaks typed in some workflows and collapses others — captions pasted with normal newlines often arrive as one block. The tool formats your caption with line breaks that survive the paste: write it structured here, copy it out, and the breaks hold.

How to structure a caption

Hook in the first line (only the first line shows before "more"), a blank line, then short paragraphs of one to three lines each. White space is readability — the tool preserves the structure you set, including the invisible characters that make Instagram respect it.

Paste, do not retype

The formatted caption must be pasted as a whole — retyping it in the Instagram app reintroduces the stripped-break behavior. Copy from here, paste into Instagram, and publish without touching the text.

Frequently asked questions

Why does Instagram remove my line breaks?

The app normalizes certain whitespace patterns, and some input methods produce breaks it strips. The tool formats with the character sequence Instagram preserves.

Can I use this for comments too?

The same behavior applies to comments — the formatted text works anywhere Instagram accepts multi-line input.

Does the tool add invisible characters?

It may use the specific whitespace characters that survive Instagram's processing — that is the mechanism, and it is invisible in the published caption.
