The options that matter
Case-sensitive matching keeps "API" from mangling "api"; whole-word matching stops "cat" from reaching inside "category". Replace-all shows you the count either way, so you always know how much changed.

Does replacement preserve my line breaks?
Yes — only the matched text changes; everything around it, including line structure, stays exactly as you pasted it.
What is the difference between case-sensitive and case-insensitive matching?
Case-sensitive matches only exact casing ("API" never matches "api"); case-insensitive matches any casing. Use sensitive mode when casing carries meaning.
Can I see what changed?
The replace-all count tells you how many replacements ran, and the text diff shows you each one in context when you compare before and after.
